Leonardo Zulaica tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. España Zunzunegui showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexander Botbol in the 4th minute of the match. Campos Gorvea scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of España Zunzunegui, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 15th minute, Borbon FC's Xuan Llera ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Leonardo Zulaica. Leonardo Zulaica yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. España Zunzunegui came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by UD Yalare's Campos Gorvea. But to his dismay, Campos Gorvea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. España Zunzunegui took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Campos Gorvea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the game, Trota Briseño was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UD Yalare's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Borbon FC the free kick. Trota Briseño hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Urre Escobar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Trota Sobrino kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Leonardo Zulaica came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Borbon FC's Texeira Parral. But to his dismay, Texeira Parral quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Xuan Llera to strike the kick off in the second half. Borbon FC's España Zunzunegui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Campos Gorvea in the 53rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Borbon FC's Jacinto Taracena got a free kick in the 53rd minute. España Zunzunegui made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alexander Botbol in the 55th minute. Leonardo Zulaica showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Urre Escobar, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. UD Yalare's Leonardo Zulaica played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xuan Llera in the 62nd minute of play. Campos Gorvea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Campos Gorvea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without España Zunzunegui having to interfere. Leonardo Zulaica stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xuan Llera's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Leonardo Zulaica showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Urre Escobar, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. 87 minutes into the match, UD Yalare's goal looked a bit too open when Xuan Llera came free, but Leonardo Zulaica reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Trota Sobrino got free with España Zunzunegui in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The UD Yalare players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Borbon FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
