Moreno Dorado started the match with the kick off. In the 7th minute Moreno Dorado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zumar Valaguer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the game, CD Zaragura's Moreno Dorado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zumar Valaguer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Zaquiel Coco kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Americo Merecilla's late challenge caught a CD Zaragura's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Americo Merecilla helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, UD Perote's Americo Merecilla got a free kick in the 33rd minute. CD Zaragura's Moreno Dorado got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zaquiel Coco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Cornelio Pascua kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejandro Mallen in the 56th minute of play forced CD Zaragura's goalkeeper Cortez Devalla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Alejandro Mallen managed to get in a good position for a shot. UD Perote's supporters rose to their feet, but Alejandro Mallen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cortez Devalla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cortez Devalla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Caceres in the 61st minute of the match. With a little luck, UD Perote's Zumar Valaguer got control of the ball when Alejandro Arguiz tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Rafael Caceres's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cortez Devalla was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Rafael Caceres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Cortez Devalla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Alejandro Arguiz came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the CD Zaragura fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alejandro Arguiz couldn't finish the play. The attack was good, but when Moreno Dorado in the 77th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 79 minutes into the match, UD Perote's goal looked a bit too open when Moreno Dorado came free, but Zumar Valaguer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Moreno Dorado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 88th minute, Americo Merecilla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Moreno Dorado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zumar Valaguer having to interfere. After 96 minutes, Víctor Sariego mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the UD Perote and the CD Zaragura players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, UD Perote's Víctor Sariego got a free kick in the 97th minute. CD Zaragura played a much better game than UD Perote and deserved their victory. The UD Perote players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
