Guamán Arramendia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marin Tejerina in the 6th minute of the match. Estacio Miñon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zarbonin Giraldo went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Alonzo Andibidria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Estacio Miñon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute Zarbonin Giraldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Estacio Miñon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juan Eduardo Guerrero in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guamán Arramendia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Guamán Arramendia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martinez Eguilaz in the 21st minute of play. In the 21stth minute of the game Martinez Eguilaz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Papa Frita Futbol Club's Guamán Arramendia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonardo Gox got free with Guamán Arramendia in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Guamán Arramendia was out of position in the 25 minute of play, and Leonardo Gox capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Leonardo Gox really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. A throw-in in the 35th minute of the game was made by Erwin Ribota with Juan Eduardo Guerrero as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Ovando Picado kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the game, Salomon Gallaiztegui was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Papa Frita Futbol Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave New Team the free kick. After a rather tough play, Papa Frita Futbol Club's Salomon Gallaiztegui got a free kick in the 37th minute. After having played for 38 minutes, Juan Eduardo Guerrero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juan Eduardo Guerrero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of New Team booed when Papa Frita Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romo Tama didn't get a good kick on the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Papa Frita Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Gox came free, but Guamán Arramendia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guamán Arramendia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Eduardo Guerrero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. New Team were furious when Estrada Telleria was red carded, 44 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Estrada Telleria hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. When Salomon Gallaiztegui came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Papa Frita Futbol Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Salomon Gallaiztegui couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zarbonin Giraldo was the one to do the kick off. Guamán Arramendia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Gox in the 54th minute of play. After some careless play in the New Team defense, Zarbonin Giraldo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Estacio Miñon. The New Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Estacio Miñon should have stopped the shot. Juan Eduardo Guerrero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Papa Frita Futbol Club's Zarbonin Giraldo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Estacio Miñon. That made the score 2-3 after 74 minutes of play. Estacio Miñon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zarbonin Giraldo in the 77th minute. Alonzo Andibidria's late challenge caught a New Team's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alonzo Andibidria helped the player get up and apologised. After 82 played minutes Papa Frita Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Alonzo Andibidria. In the 83rd minute Orfilio Lizarazu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guamán Arramendia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Urbano Balza's late challenge caught a New Team's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Urbano Balza helped the player get up and apologised. After 84 played minutes Papa Frita Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Urbano Balza. Alonzo Andibidria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Estacio Miñon having to interfere. After 89 minutes, Zarbonin Giraldo made it 2-4 with a short kick to the right side. New Team's Estacio Miñon tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Juan Eduardo Guerrero blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guamán Arramendia having to make a save. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Papa Frita Futbol Club walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
