Guayaquil's goalkeeper Aires Cendegui to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aires Cendegui showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lénárd Kutas, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 18th minute Sergio Persol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aires Cendegui saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leo Løhr who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 47thth minute tested the skills of Vacid Seralp when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 47th match minute, Calentura was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Coria to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

Romo Viñambre could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Aires Cendegui made a huge save. Aires Cendegui showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergen Kutsalan, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sergen Kutsalan in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aires Cendegui prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 73rd minute Dominik Opat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aires Cendegui saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Dominik Opat made a precise shot to the right of Aires Cendegui. C. D. Guayaquil's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. In the 80th match minute, Calentura was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sergen Kutsalan to maneuver through the defense. 84 minutes into the match, C. D. Guayaquil fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Calentura were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
