Zosimo Piñon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jatsu Villamandos, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Popales's Zosimo Piñon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Popales from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Jatsu Villamandos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zosimo Piñon was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Flavio Era was the one to do the kick off. Jatsu Villamandos struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Zosimo Piñon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pajiji. Nesto Carvajal kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 58th minute Jatsu Villamandos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zosimo Piñon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Pajiji's zone, Fe Mediano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Unai Santavida came out of the goal and Fe Mediano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 62 minutes into the match, Flavio Era dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Unai Santavida, 0-2. If Flavio Era had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 69 played minutes Pajiji got a freekick which was hit by Desiderio Pagola. In the 72nd minute Jatsu Villamandos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zosimo Piñon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zosimo Piñon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jatsu Villamandos's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. After 75 played minutes Popales got a freekick which was hit by Nesto Carvajal. Jatsu Villamandos struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Zosimo Piñon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Jatsu Villamandos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zosimo Piñon. Popales's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jatsu Villamandos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After 97 played minutes Pajiji got a freekick which was hit by Desiderio Pagola. Popales's Mikeldi Montoya couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 98th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Pajiji. Popales's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
