The referee ignored Rayo Vallecano de Madrid's protests and gave Eulalio Collazo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Rayo Vallecano de Madrid getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Heli Zaldos hit a great ball. When Stanislao Paza came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Mojaculo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stanislao Paza couldn't finish the play. Nunez Gaztañondo hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. 1-0 became the score in the 15th minute when Jaizki Caseda elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Goizeder Estrada kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Rayo Vallecano de Madrid's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Stanislao Paza fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Jaizki Caseda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Cristian Zapata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rayo Vallecano de Madrid's Cristian Zapata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaizki Caseda in the 42nd minute of play. Stanislao Paza in the 44thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cristian Zapata, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Tonete Villavedon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Tonio Carro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Teofilo Gutiérrez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 52nd minute, Tonete Villavedon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rayo Vallecano de Madrid fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Jaizki Caseda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the game, Mojaculo's Stanislao Paza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cristian Zapata made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rayo Vallecano de Madrid's goalkeeper Cristian Zapata, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 75 played minutes Mojaculo got a freekick which was hit by Nunez Gaztañondo. The audience cheered loudly when Salvatore Urrechua's long shot in the 76th minute became 2-2 when the ball went to the left of and passed Tonio Carro. If Stanislao Paza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Mojaculo's Nunez Gaztañondo got a free kick in the 82nd minute. In the 83rd minute of the match Salvatore Urrechua shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tonio Carro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 84th minute, Teofilo Gutiérrez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jaizki Caseda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cristian Zapata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaizki Caseda in the 94th minute of the match. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
