Benito Canonega took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juanito Villoldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9thth minute of the game Juanito Villoldo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brillante FC's Benito Canonega was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ciro Vellosillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Argenis Herbi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jobo Taran in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Argenis Herbi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tome Argos struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Argenis Herbi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brillante FC. 20 minutes into the match, Baldomero Movilla had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Canonega. Brillante FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Baldomero Movilla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Baldomero Movilla sped through Brillante FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Canonega. Tome Argos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 47 minutes into the match, Brillante FC's Tome Argos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Argenis Herbi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Brillante FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Topaga were winning 0-2.

Topaga's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
