In the 5th match minute, Camajoru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Lamboy to maneuver through the defense. Michael Casanande didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fertus Jaraba went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Evangelista Merida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bitxintxo Munguira struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Michael Casanande didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santa Fe. In the 15th minute, Fertus Jaraba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Santa Fe's Gelacio Sedillo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Santa Fe from getting a goal against them. A hard shot 21 in the game by Eguen Avedillo from a close distance when the talented Gelacio Sedillo managed to make a qualified save. Santa Fe's players were relieved. A collision led to Camajoru getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Chuse Dalmases hit a great ball. Michael Casanande made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fertus Jaraba in the 25th minute of play. Mateo Copeiro took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Michael Casanande. Michael Casanande dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After some careless play in the Camajoru defense, Gervaso Retortillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Michael Casanande. The Camajoru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Michael Casanande should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Camajoru getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Manuelo Iturralde hit a great ball. Bitxintxo Munguira might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Michael Casanande. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bitxintxo Munguira ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Camajoru's zone, Fertus Jaraba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michael Casanande came out of the goal and Fertus Jaraba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 43 minutes into the match, Santa Fe's goal looked a bit too open when Artemio Pelayo came free, but Gelacio Sedillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Santa Fe were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Gelacio Sedillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eguen Avedillo in the 52nd minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Santa Fe's goal looked a bit too open when Baltasar Caballol came free, but Gelacio Sedillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Mateo Copeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Camajoru's Baltasar Caballol got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Camajoru booed when Santa Fe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateo Copeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th minute Evangelista Merida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gelacio Sedillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Delmar Carrios kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Bitxintxo Munguira struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Gelacio Sedillo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. 83 minutes into the match, Mateo Copeiro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Michael Casanande, 1-4. Mateo Copeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute, Eguen Avedillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gervaso Retortillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
