Eneko Alvarez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vitoria Balbas's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. With a little luck, AFC Viola Gigliati's Min Ordoña got control of the ball when Johan Lång tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 18 played minutes ATLETIC AB got a freekick which was hit by Guilabertus Bultes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ilazki Esquivel in the 47th minute of play forced ATLETIC AB's goalkeeper Eneko Alvarez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vitoria Balbas to make the kick off. Guilabertus Bultes struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Min Ordoña didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ATLETIC AB. After a rather tough play, ATLETIC AB's Bertran Soberon got a free kick in the 59th minute. If Ilazki Esquivel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 69 minutes, Johan Lång managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ATLETIC AB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Johan Lång was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, AFC Viola Gigliati's Eate Bucaran got a free kick in the 70th minute. AFC Viola Gigliati's Dunixi Bueno was substituted for Rojelio Valencia. Min Ordoña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johan Lång, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. 74 minutes into the game, Mario Balotelli recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eneko Alvarez. Mario Balotelli showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. 85 minutes into the game, Vilmantas Ubavičius was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ATLETIC AB's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AFC Viola Gigliati the free kick. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The ATLETIC AB fans cheered their team off the field, for while AFC Viola Gigliati had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
