The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Inter Miami getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Aires Letran hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Viator Vizcaya kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Loramendi Anievas. That made the score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. The ATLETIC AB fans' excitement grew in the 8th match minute when ATLETIC AB's Guilabertus Bultes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 12 minutes had been played when some careless play by ATLETIC AB's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Pastor Quer was slow to take the kick. During this time Inter Miami's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Inter Miami's corner Pastor Quer fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Eneko Alvarez quite easily take care of the ball. Pastor Quer struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Eneko Alvarez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inter Miami. Guilabertus Bultes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Demario Miel hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. 26 minutes into the match, Inter Miami's goalkeeper Loramendi Anievas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Johan Lång. In the 30th minute, Nestor Placiencia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ATLETIC AB fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Loramendi Anievas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guilabertus Bultes in the 33rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in ATLETIC AB's zone, Pastor Quer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eneko Alvarez came out of the goal and Pastor Quer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bertran Soberon in the 36th minute of play forced Inter Miami's goalkeeper Loramendi Anievas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bertran Soberon scored 5-0 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Loramendi Anievas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vachon Vadillos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eneko Alvarez having to interfere. After having played for 42 minutes, Cedro Ganzo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Inter Miami's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cedro Ganzo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 46 minutes into the match, Inter Miami's goal looked a bit too open when Vilmantas Ubavičius came free, but Loramendi Anievas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vachon Vadillos to make the kick off. Loramendi Anievas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guilabertus Bultes in the 51st minute of the match. Inter Miami's Loramendi Anievas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guilabertus Bultes in the 55th minute of play. A collision led to Inter Miami getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Librado Traveso hit a great ball. Loramendi Anievas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johan Lång in the 63rd minute of the match.
