Caetano Olaechea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Baldomiro Andrade went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 15th minute of the match Cresconio Villanueva shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Caetano Olaechea showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Tesoro's Nastasio Rosell got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nastasio Rosell in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Donatello Forcen saved Castillas from getting behind. When Tabor Godoy fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tesoro's protests and gave Tabor Godoy a yellow card for diving instead. After 28 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Tesoro! The referee gave Castillas a penalty, 29 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Higinio Varas, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Tesoro's Caetano Olaechea. 0-2. Nastasio Rosell struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Donatello Forcen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tesoro. Castillas's Donatello Forcen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nastasio Rosell in the 38th minute of play. After 42 minutes of play, Tesoro's Evelio Obina made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Donatello Forcen was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match clock showed 46 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Nastasio Rosell sped through Castillas's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Donatello Forcen.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Xulio Reyna to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Castillas's Xulio Reyna slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Caetano Olaechea. That made the score 2-3 after 55 minutes of play. The supporters of Tesoro booed when Castillas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ezkerra Pubill didn't get a good kick on the ball. Donatello Forcen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evelio Obina, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Caetano Olaechea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Baldomiro Andrade in the 64th minute. Evelio Obina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donatello Forcen having to interfere. Xulio Reyna hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. 80 minutes into the match, Tesoro's Evelio Obina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Donatello Forcen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 82nd minute of the match, Xulio Reyna tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Caetano Olaechea saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Nastasio Rosell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donatello Forcen having to interfere. Caetano Olaechea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xulio Reyna in the 90th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Evelio Obina made a precise shot to the right of Donatello Forcen. Castillas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. Donatello Forcen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Maximino Gacel went, in the 99th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-3 was the resulting score. Castillas's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
