In the 3rd minute Maore Eradi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Besosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 4 played minutes Platanales FC got a freekick which was hit by Gervasio Biniambres. Maore Eradi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Iker Besosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 9 minutes, Patricio Neyda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Curiapo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Neyda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Polentzi Gallostegui fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benigno Arandajo having to interfere. After 12 played minutes Platanales FC got a freekick which was hit by Joseba Raimundo. Giro Iranzo kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Paolo Verdeces got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 39 minutes into the game, Iratzeder Gainza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Curiapo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Platanales FC the free kick. Iratzeder Gainza hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Paolo Verdeces fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iker Besosa having to interfere. After 43 minutes, Omar Guevara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Curiapo FC and the Platanales FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 43rd match minute, Curiapo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Omar Guevara to maneuver through the defense. Paolo Verdeces fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iker Besosa having to interfere. Maore Eradi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iker Besosa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Polentzi Gallostegui was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Curiapo FC's Perico Umbria got a free kick in the 53rd minute. After 53 played minutes, Platanales FC's Teodoro Gostioz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Iker Besosa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Platanales FC reached it. In the 60th minute, Maore Eradi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Iker Besosa came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Platanales FC's Paolo Verdeces. But to his dismay, Paolo Verdeces quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Maore Eradi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iratzeder Gainza kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. After 76 played minutes, Platanales FC's Teodoro Gostioz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Iker Besosa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Patricio Neyda's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Benigno Arandajo firmly grabbed it by the left post.
