Curiquima FC's Bernaldo Acevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Galsino Bracero in the 10th minute of play. Polentzi Villamañan hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. A hard shot 14 in the game by Galsino Bracero from a close distance when the talented Bernaldo Acevedo managed to make a qualified save. Curiquima FC's players were relieved. The supporters of Curiquima FC booed when Monasterio FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severino Villaquiran didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 minutes into the game, Curiquima FC's Igor Soveron nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Inocente Aquejano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Inocente Aquejano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xan Quijana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 24 played minutes Curiquima FC got a freekick which was hit by Polentzi Villamañan. In the 25th minute of the match Araoz Xandri shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bernaldo Acevedo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Xan Quijana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Curiquima FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Xan Quijana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Inocente Aquejano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Estevam Llorente got free with Bernaldo Acevedo in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 32ndth minute of the game Galsino Bracero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Curiquima FC's Bernaldo Acevedo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Estevam Llorente got free with Bernaldo Acevedo in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 37 minutes into the match, Curiquima FC's Igor Soveron broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Xan Quijana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inocente Aquejano having to interfere. Bernaldo Acevedo was a little too slow when Galsino Bracero got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 45th minute. The score was now 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gorbea Limia was the one to do the kick off. Inocente Aquejano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gorbea Limia in the 52nd minute. Estevam Llorente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bernaldo Acevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Galsino Bracero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Galsino Bracero in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bernaldo Acevedo saved Curiquima FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Galsino Bracero in the 71st minute of play forced Curiquima FC's goalkeeper Bernaldo Acevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gorbea Limia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Inocente Aquejano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 75 minutes into the game, Xan Quijana cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Inocente Aquejano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gorbea Limia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inocente Aquejano having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Gorbea Limia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xan Quijana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute of the game, Polentzi Villamañan landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. 94 minutes into the game, Roano Belaustegui was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Monasterio FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Curiquima FC the free kick. Curiquima FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
