A very good chance. 12 minutes into the game, Mateo Goite was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Higuerote F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maurica FC the free kick. After 12 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Higuerote F.C! In the 18th minute, Balendin Quijano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Maurica FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Balendin Quijano took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gustavo Abellaneda. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Generosb Bara couldn't finish the play. Arnaldo Escarraz might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pueblo Curiel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arnaldo Escarraz ran back to his position shaking his head. 34 minutes into the match, Loren Trasloseros had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pueblo Curiel. Maurica FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Loren Trasloseros was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Maurica FC's Pueblo Curiel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Errando Norato in the 44th minute of play. Gustavo Abellaneda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Balendin Quijano, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

Errando Norato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Pueblo Curiel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 55 minutes of play, Higuerote F.C's Arnaldo Escarraz made it 4-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. A collision led to Higuerote F.C getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Errando Norato hit a great ball. 94 minutes into the game, Weterio Ozuna cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-3. Pueblo Curiel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. There was no doubt that Higuerote F.C were the better team. Higuerote F.C's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
