Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Lorencio Aranzabal made the kick off and thus started the match. Lorencio Aranzabal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saturnino Coria having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oinatz Vivaldo in the 10th minute of play forced AC Guatire's goalkeeper Orlando Ameda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, AC Guatire's Goi Lumeras got a free kick in the 14th minute. Saturnino Coria stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Goi Lumeras's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Saturnino Coria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Goi Lumeras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When AC Guatire's Lorencio Aranzabal in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Maremare's goalie prevented a goal. Orlando Ameda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Henrico Verdeces in the 28th minute. Saturnino Coria stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Goi Lumeras's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. After 33 played minutes Maremare got a freekick which was hit by Oinatz Vivaldo. In the 34th minute Lorencio Aranzabal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saturnino Coria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hilario Ubera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Orlando Ameda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Goi Lumeras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute, one of Maremare:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Maremare. Saturnino Coria had in the 48thth minute some difficulties stopping Patrido Rezabal's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 48 minutes into the match, Patrido Rezabal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Saturnino Coria. Maremare's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Patrido Rezabal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The Maremare players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. AC Guatire were winning 0-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oinatz Vivaldo was the one to do the kick off. When Denis Hostos fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AC Guatire's protests and gave Denis Hostos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 54th minute, Denis Hostos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to AC Guatire getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Tanio Toraño hit a great ball. When Hilario Ubera fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maremare's protests and gave Hilario Ubera a yellow card for diving instead. In the 58th minute, Hilario Ubera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Saturnino Coria stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lorencio Aranzabal's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. When Oinatz Vivaldo came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Maremare fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oinatz Vivaldo couldn't finish the play. Maremare's Oinatz Vivaldo managed to work through AC Guatire's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Oinatz Vivaldo dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Lorencio Aranzabal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Saturnino Coria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maremare's Saturnino Coria proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Maremare from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lorencio Aranzabal in the 68th minute of play forced Maremare's goalkeeper Saturnino Coria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Saturnino Coria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lorencio Aranzabal in the 71st minute of play. Saturnino Coria was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lorencio Aranzabal showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 73 minute of play. Saturnino Coria came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by AC Guatire's Goi Lumeras. But to his dismay, Goi Lumeras quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Maremare's Saturnino Coria proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Maremare from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Maremare defense, Goi Lumeras kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Saturnino Coria. The Maremare fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Saturnino Coria should have stopped the shot. Hilario Ubera kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Maremare's Henrico Verdeces got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The AC Guatire supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing AC Guatire would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
