The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raphael Hammond was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of La Gorda Fc booed when South Bradenton AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darius Jean didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Jon Sanford managed to get in a good position for a shot. Loren Crane was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Edgardo McNeal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 66 minutes into the match, Raphael Hammond notched a goal, 4-3, to the right of South Bradenton AFC's Wilfredo Travis. Wilfredo Travis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raphael Hammond couldn't finish the play. 77 minutes into the match, South Bradenton AFC's goalkeeper Wilfredo Travis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Raphael Hammond. Loren Crane took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Darius Jean, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raphael Hammond struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Wilfredo Travis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Gorda Fc. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind South Bradenton AFC's goalkeeper Wilfredo Travis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 88 minutes into the match, Edgardo McNeal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wilfredo Travis. South Bradenton AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edgardo McNeal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-4. La Gorda Fc's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
