Marlon Uhl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Winfred Akins having to interfere. After having played for 8 minutes, Marlon Uhl managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Greenwood Lake FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marlon Uhl was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alberto Pierson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oren Stein in the 12th minute of the match. Central Gardens AFC's Winfred Akins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dylan Beltran in the 20th minute of play. Josef LeBlanc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Winfred Akins having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Josef LeBlanc got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 27 minutes into the match, Greenwood Lake FC's goal looked a bit too open when Oren Stein came free, but Alberto Pierson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 32 minutes of play, Central Gardens AFC's Cyrus Sullivan made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alberto Pierson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marlon Uhl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alberto Pierson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oren Stein, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute, Dylan Beltran got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Josef LeBlanc made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute David Baxter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Pierson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 55 minutes into the match, Aurelio McGuire had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alberto Pierson. Greenwood Lake FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aurelio McGuire was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. If Josef LeBlanc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Central Gardens AFC's Winfred Akins got control of the ball when Josef LeBlanc tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aurelio McGuire hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Central Gardens AFC's zone, Marlon Uhl stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Winfred Akins came out of the goal and Marlon Uhl tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Winfred Akins was a little too slow when Josef LeBlanc got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 85th minute. The score was now 2-1. Alberto Pierson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Baxter in the 89th minute of play. Greenwood Lake FC's Ramon Eastman pulled a muscle in his leg after 95 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Oren Stein's late challenge caught a Greenwood Lake FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oren Stein helped the player get up and apologised. Oren Stein hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Central Gardens AFC were victorious despite being under pressure from Greenwood Lake FC for much of the match.
