Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Drew Thurston kicked off to start the match. After 2 played minutes Dodge City got a freekick which was hit by Steven Messer. Dodge City's Virgilio Workman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jose Duffy in the 3rd minute of play. Tommie Dunbar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Ernie Galindo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dave Izturis kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Drew Thurston in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ernie Galindo saved South Kensington from getting behind. 16 minutes into the game, Chuck Casey was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dodge City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave South Kensington the free kick. After having played for 29 minutes, Jose Duffy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. South Kensington's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jose Duffy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Duffy in the 31st minute of play forced Dodge City's goalkeeper Virgilio Workman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jose Duffy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgilio Workman having to interfere. A collision led to South Kensington getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. A.J. Hoffman hit a great ball. Ernie Galindo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chuck Casey, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. If Drew Thurston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Drew Thurston might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ernie Galindo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Drew Thurston ran back to his position shaking his head. Drew Thurston sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, South Kensington's Ernie Galindo got control of the ball when Tommie Dunbar tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 48 minutes of play, Dodge City's Tommie Dunbar made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ernie Galindo was left in no man's land by his defense there!

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jose Duffy to make the kick off. Kerry Mercer struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Virgilio Workman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for South Kensington. Virgilio Workman didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 56th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. In the 60th minute, Jose Duffy fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Virgilio Workman, passed just outside the right post. Dodge City's Virgilio Workman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Dodge City from getting a goal against them. Chuck Casey was shown his second yellow card after 64 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Lincoln Lucero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgilio Workman having to interfere. In the 70th match minute, Dodge City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Steven Messer to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st minute of the match Rolando McClendon sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Virgilio Workman skillfully saved the ball. Steven Messer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tommie Dunbar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ernie Galindo having to make a save. 98 minutes into the match, South Kensington's goal looked a bit too open when Tommie Dunbar came free, but Ernie Galindo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The South Kensington players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
