Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Clayton Byrne started the match with the kick off. Mishawaka FC's Virgilio Askew got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Virgilio Askew received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Geoffrey Kidd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Port Lavaca AFC's Geoffrey Kidd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clayton Byrne in the 17th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Clayton Byrne in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Geoffrey Kidd saved Port Lavaca AFC from getting behind. The supporters of Mishawaka FC booed when Port Lavaca AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jed Gentry didn't get a good kick on the ball. Clayton Byrne took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Geoffrey Kidd. Geoffrey Kidd dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Vance Barbour received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Gordon Short tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Port Lavaca AFC's goalkeeper Geoffrey Kidd, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gordon Short was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jefferson Coyle showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 30 minute of play. Clayton Byrne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

After having played for 52 minutes, Vance Barbour managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Port Lavaca AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vance Barbour was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Jed Gentry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the match, Mishawaka FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jefferson Coyle came free, but Gordon Short reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jefferson Coyle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Virgilio Askew kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Clayton Byrne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geoffrey Kidd having to interfere. If Clayton Byrne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 86 minutes into the match, Vance Barbour had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gordon Short. Mishawaka FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vance Barbour was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Port Lavaca AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mishawaka FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
