Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) After 3 minutes of play, New Cumberland's Jeffrey Winn made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Johnny Jennings was left in no man's land by his defense there! Moses Barron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th minute Rex Byrne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Monty Healy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Cuero AFC's Romeo Spence got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Monty Healy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Willie Cain's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rex Byrne in the 27th minute of play forced New Cumberland's goalkeeper Monty Healy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rex Byrne in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Monty Healy saved New Cumberland from getting behind. Johnny Jennings made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeffrey Winn in the 40th minute. Willie Cain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Monty Healy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rex Byrne in the 46th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Moses Barron made a kick off. Willie Cain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Monty Healy having to interfere. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Rex Byrne sped through New Cumberland's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Monty Healy. New Cumberland's Moses Barron got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jeffrey Winn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Johnny Jennings made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeffrey Winn in the 69th minute of play. Rex Byrne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeffrey Winn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnny Jennings having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeffrey Winn in the 83rd minute of play forced Cuero AFC's goalkeeper Johnny Jennings to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ty Powell fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored New Cumberland's protests and gave Ty Powell a yellow card for diving instead. When Jeffrey Winn came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the New Cumberland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeffrey Winn couldn't finish the play. Moses Barron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Johnny Jennings tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th minute Fred Allen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnny Jennings saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to New Cumberland getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Willie Wagner hit a great ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
