Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomás Argoitz in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kenneth LoDuca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bennett Newton kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Norberto Silban's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kenneth LoDuca read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Tristan Clark sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Enoch Chamberlain hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. 19 minutes into the game, Minko Pehlivanov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Almunge IK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wolverhampton the free kick. Gerry Booth struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Marty Latham didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wolverhampton. Norberto Silban fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kenneth LoDuca having to interfere. When Jesus Hanks came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Wolverhampton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jesus Hanks couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Almunge IK's Shannon Powell got a free kick in the 25th minute. Kenneth LoDuca didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomás Argoitz went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Tristan Clark struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Marty Latham didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wolverhampton. The supporters of Wolverhampton booed when Almunge IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reyes Allred didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tristan Clark in the 77th minute of play forced Almunge IK's goalkeeper Marty Latham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kenneth LoDuca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Argoitz in the 80th minute of the match. If Quincy Vogel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gerry Booth took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 86th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marty Latham. Almunge IK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Almunge IK's Marty Latham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quincy Vogel in the 88th minute of play. Marty Latham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tristan Clark, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Norberto Silban received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Kenneth LoDuca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Bennett Newton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Norberto Silban had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bennett Newton took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 97th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marty Latham. Almunge IK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The Almunge IK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Almunge IK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
