Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mckinley McAlpin started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Park Hills FC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Ed Singer hit a great ball. 13 minutes into the match, Park Hills FC's goal looked a bit too open when Geraldo Hamby came free, but Shayne Harrison reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marty Sams in the 15th minute of play forced Park Hills FC's goalkeeper Shayne Harrison to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute Jefferson Navarro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shayne Harrison saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Geraldo Hamby managed to get in a good position for a shot. Western Springs FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Geraldo Hamby was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Shayne Harrison breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 28 minutes into the match, Marty Sams notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Park Hills FC's Shayne Harrison. Shayne Harrison was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Homer Whitman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jefferson Navarro's late challenge caught a Park Hills FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jefferson Navarro helped the player get up and apologised. Jefferson Navarro hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marty Sams made a kick off. Jefferson Navarro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Western Springs FC's zone, Mckinley McAlpin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Irwin came out of the goal and Mckinley McAlpin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Mckinley McAlpin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Park Hills FC booed when Western Springs FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jefferson Navarro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Mckinley McAlpin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Park Hills FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mckinley McAlpin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Homer Whitman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Benito Irwin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Mckinley McAlpin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Octavio Velez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mckinley McAlpin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Benito Irwin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Shayne Harrison showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geraldo Hamby in the 95th minute of the match. In the 97th minute, Mckinley McAlpin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Park Hills FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Western Springs FC to win.
