Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Roderick Gray took the kick off in the first half of the match. Shannon Holden's late challenge caught a Mountain Lakes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Shannon Holden helped the player get up and apologised. In the 2nd minute, Shannon Holden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 4 minutes into the game, Dale Britt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mountain Lakes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Elm Grove FC the free kick. Alejandro Weber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerry Witt, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Elm Grove FC's Arnold Silver got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roderick Gray received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Anthony Kilgore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Elm Grove FC's Anthony Kilgore got control of the ball when Kyle Langston tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roderick Gray in the 13th minute of play forced Elm Grove FC's goalkeeper Anthony Kilgore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Mountain Lakes's goal looked a bit too open when Arnold Silver came free, but Alejandro Weber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Roderick Gray had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anthony Kilgore. Elm Grove FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roderick Gray was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Elm Grove FC's Anthony Kilgore proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Elm Grove FC from getting a goal against them. Anthony Kilgore stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roderick Gray's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. In the 24th match minute, Mountain Lakes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilmer McGraw to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute of the match Josef Mathews sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alejandro Weber skillfully saved the ball. Vance Blue kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jerry Witt in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alejandro Weber prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kyle Langston who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Anthony Kilgore when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Elm Grove FC's Anthony Kilgore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roderick Gray in the 35th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jerry Witt to make the kick off. Quinton Pina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Anthony Kilgore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Elm Grove FC's Bill Acuna got a free kick in the 54th minute. Winford Lopes's late challenge caught a Mountain Lakes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Winford Lopes helped the player get up and apologised. After 58 played minutes Elm Grove FC got a freekick which was hit by Winford Lopes. In the 59th minute Dale Britt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anthony Kilgore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute, Winford Lopes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Roderick Gray had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnold Silvers short, quick shot in the 66thth minute got Alejandro Weber to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Kyle Langston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 72 minutes into the game, Elm Grove FC's Arnold Silver nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alejandro Weber made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 75th match minute, Elm Grove FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Womack to maneuver through the defense. Winford Lopes hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Mountain Lakes were awarded a corner in the 84th minute after Elm Grove FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dale Britt took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Ramiro Lacey managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Roderick Gray took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anthony Kilgore. Anthony Kilgore dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Arnold Silver could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Alejandro Weber made a huge save. Mountain Lakes's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
