After a rather tough play, Wickenburg's Cliff Starnes got a free kick in the 2nd minute. 4 minutes into the match, Lucien Milligan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of William Zapata. Wickenburg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucien Milligan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Fernway FC's Bryon Negron got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lucien Milligan might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over William Zapata. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lucien Milligan ran back to his position shaking his head. If Lucien Milligan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emilio Bullock kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. A collision led to Wickenburg getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Connor Sherwood hit a great ball. Kenny Swan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristofer Jacobsen having to interfere. Jamal Costello kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. After having played for 37 minutes, Bryon Negron managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fernway FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bryon Negron was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kenny Swan struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Kristofer Jacobsen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wickenburg. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bryon Negron in the 46th minute of play forced Wickenburg's goalkeeper William Zapata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Byron Farley to make the kick off. Kenny Swan succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 52nd playminute. In the 57th minute Jamal Costello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William Zapata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. William Zapata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucien Milligan in the 58th minute of the match. A collision led to Fernway FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. C.J. Wilcox hit a great ball. 64 minutes into the match, Fernway FC's goalkeeper Kristofer Jacobsen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kenny Swan. 65 minutes into the game, Roberto Tackett was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wickenburg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fernway FC the free kick. If Byron Farley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 76 minutes into the game, Hugo Grover was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fernway FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wickenburg the free kick. After 76 played minutes Fernway FC got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Grover. Kenny Swan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Charles Kirkland hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Kristofer Jacobsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Byron Farley, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Lucien Milligan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nelson Chamberlain hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. William Zapata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucien Milligan in the 92nd minute of the match. After having played for 95 minutes, Lucien Milligan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fernway FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucien Milligan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Despite being the better team, Fernway FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
