Thad Seay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galatasaray FC. Eldon Sweet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Thad Seay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristobal Bidari hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the match, Claudio Ramos notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Galatasaray FC's Rod Lentz. Rod Lentz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 66 minutes into the match, Galatasaray FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alistair Burgess came free, but Rod Lentz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ron Craven came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Roanoke fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ron Craven couldn't finish the play. If Antony Bentley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudio Ramos charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Claudio Ramos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Roanoke getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Claudio Ramos hit a great ball. Rod Lentz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alistair Burgess in the 76th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, Adrián Angelini had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thad Seay. Roanoke's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adrián Angelini was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. If Adrián Angelini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Roanoke's zone, Eldon Sweet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thad Seay came out of the goal and Eldon Sweet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
