In the 24th minute Rafael Sinclair shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duncan Miller saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Melvin Aaron's late challenge caught a Laurel Bay AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Melvin Aaron helped the player get up and apologised. Melvin Aaron hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Laurel Bay AFC's Brendan Casey got control of the ball when Wallace Shook tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 30th minute, Wallace Shook ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Brendan Casey was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Brendan Casey made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Wallace Shook sent off a good shot on target. Rafael Sinclair scored 1-1 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Duncan Miller, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 40th minute Rafael Sinclair shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duncan Miller saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Werner Gamble to make the kick off. Laurel Bay AFC's Rafael Sinclair got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Bennett Mabry came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Laurel Bay AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bennett Mabry couldn't finish the play. After having played for 91 minutes, Werner Gamble managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Roseau FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Werner Gamble was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Laurel Bay AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
