If Monte Pepper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leonard Connors sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 9th minute, Edgar Herrington left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ayden FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Leonard Connors fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Marshall having to interfere. Monte Pepper received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Rolando Marshall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Davis Conklin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Herrington in the 17th minute of play. Davis Conklin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leo Page in the 20th minute of the match. Vance Hayes kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Ayden FC's Jesse Bentley tried to score from far away in the 23rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 25 minutes into the match, Lewiston AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Leo Page came free, but Davis Conklin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, Leo Page made a precise shot to the right of Davis Conklin. Lewiston AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Harry Dubose hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Herrington in the 34th minute of play forced Lewiston AFC's goalkeeper Davis Conklin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Lewiston AFC's Leonard Connors sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rolando Marshall narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 39 minutes into the match, Lewiston AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Leo Page came free, but Davis Conklin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd minute Leo Page shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Davis Conklin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Davis Conklin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leo Page in the 44th minute of the match. Davis Conklin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Herrington, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 59th minute, Edgar Herrington reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Davis Conklin. The goal made the score 0-3. If Leo Page had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Von Funk received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Davis Conklin came out and tried to block the shot, but Von Funk slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 64th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Von Funk got free with Davis Conklin in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edgar Herrington's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Davis Conklin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Leo Page struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Davis Conklin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ayden FC. When Leonard Connors came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Lewiston AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonard Connors couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 80 in the game by Leo Page from a close distance when the talented Davis Conklin managed to make a qualified save. Lewiston AFC's players were relieved. When Leonard Connors came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Lewiston AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonard Connors couldn't finish the play. After having played for 89 minutes, Edgar Herrington managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ayden FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgar Herrington was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leo Page sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Ayden FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ayden FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
