After a defensive mix-up in Myrtle Grove's zone, Derek Gore stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Groves came out of the goal and Derek Gore tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 27 minutes, Oswaldo Crowley managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Myrtle Grove's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oswaldo Crowley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abdul Acevedo during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Derek Gore in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rafael Groves saved Myrtle Grove from getting behind.
