Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Trent Hutchins started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 7 played minutes Myrtle Grove got a freekick which was hit by Gregg Browne. In the 11thth minute of the game Salvador Tillman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Myrtle Grove's Rafael Groves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rafael Groves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trent Hutchins in the 12th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregg Browne in the 17th minute of play forced Wadsworth's goalkeeper Tad Espinoza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Oswaldo Crowley kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tad Espinoza. That made the score 2-0 in the 23 minute of play. Jesse Bravo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rafael Groves. Myrtle Grove's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Salvador Tillman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Rafael Groves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Trent Hutchins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Groves having to interfere. After 44 played minutes Wadsworth got a freekick which was hit by Jesse Bravo. Oswaldo Crowley struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Tad Espinoza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Myrtle Grove.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Oswaldo Crowley stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Salvador Tillman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Rafael Groves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aaron Toth in the 56th minute of play forced Wadsworth's goalkeeper Tad Espinoza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aaron Toth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tad Espinoza having to interfere. Oswaldo Crowley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Myrtle Grove booed when Wadsworth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Doud didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th minute, Curt Wilkins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Myrtle Grove's zone, Trent Hutchins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Groves came out of the goal and Trent Hutchins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 69th minute Oswaldo Crowley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tad Espinoza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rafael Groves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trent Hutchins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Oswaldo Crowley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 81 minutes, Rodger Hartley mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wadsworth and the Myrtle Grove players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Wadsworth's Rodger Hartley got a free kick in the 81st minute. Oswaldo Crowley's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tad Espinoza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play.
