Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Panhandle's Isaiah Wong started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Panhandle's Federico Bearden proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Panhandle from getting a goal against them. In the 7thth minute of the game Isaiah Wong who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hawaii Suns's Denny Salas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 11 minutes into the game, one of Hawaii Suns:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Curt LoDuca placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Mike Mobley kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isaiah Wong in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Denny Salas saved Hawaii Suns from getting behind. In the 16th match minute, Hawaii Suns was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rudolph Fay to maneuver through the defense. After 18 played minutes, Panhandle's Jake Sheffield shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Denny Salas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Panhandle reached it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mike Mobley during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Panhandle booed when Hawaii Suns was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mike Mobley didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute of the game, Don Yates landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 24 minutes, Curt LoDuca mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Panhandle and the Hawaii Suns players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Panhandle's Curt LoDuca got a free kick in the 25th minute. A hard shot by Avery Milligan from long distance, 26 minutes into the match, got Federico Bearden's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. If Solomon Braxton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Laurence Bowman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denny Salas having to interfere. Bart Dillon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Denny Salas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 44 minutes, Solomon Braxton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panhandle's supporters crossed their fingers, but Solomon Braxton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Isaiah Wong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Panhandle booed when Hawaii Suns was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shelby Chung didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dustin McIntyre stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Isaiah Wong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Denny Salas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bart Dillon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Denny Salas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hawaii Suns's goalkeeper Denny Salas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Dustin McIntyre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 65th minute, Jake Sheffield hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 66th minute Avery Milligan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Federico Bearden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Solomon Braxton hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Bart Dillon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Denny Salas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Solomon Braxton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Solomon Braxton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Denny Salas made a huge save. Hawaii Suns's Denny Salas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaiah Wong in the 75th minute of play. A collision led to Hawaii Suns getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Rudolph Fay hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Curt LoDuca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panhandle's supporters rose to their feet, but Curt LoDuca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Denny Salas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Francis Vera struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Denny Salas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panhandle. If Isaiah Wong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bart Dillon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denny Salas having to interfere.
