Quinn Pierson succeeded in the game's 20th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. In the 24th minute, Titus Crozier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Richie Barth in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Virgil Jordan saved Jayhawk AFC from getting behind. Barry Whitfield charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Barry Whitfield the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 36th match minute, Jayhawk AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barry Whitfield to maneuver through the defense. Virgil Jordan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richie Barth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The supporters of Reserve Township AFC booed when Jayhawk AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gregorio Simmons didn't get a good kick on the ball. Quinn Pierson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 63rdth minute, Virgil Jordan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 65thth minute of the game Richie Barth who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jayhawk AFC's Virgil Jordan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Richie Barth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reserve Township AFC's Quinn Pierson got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 75 played minutes Reserve Township AFC got a freekick which was hit by German Russ. Quinn Pierson in the 77thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Virgil Jordan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Quinn Pierson fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Reserve Township AFC's protests and gave Quinn Pierson a yellow card for diving instead. Quinn Pierson hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute, Quinn Pierson fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Virgil Jordan, passed just outside the right post. Quinn Pierson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Virgil Jordan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Reserve Township AFC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Jayhawk AFC.
