Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tory Miranda started the match with the kick off. Yong Knowles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 5th match minute, Tarboro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Scott Washington to maneuver through the defense. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tarboro's goalkeeper Peter Shaffer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Tarboro's Christian Gallegos got a free kick in the 7th minute. Wilford Leach fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter Shaffer having to interfere. After 11 minutes, Yong Knowles made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Monster Kings's Frank Salgado tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Yong Knowles took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frank Salgado. Frank Salgado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Shawn Stoner's late challenge caught a Tarboro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Shawn Stoner helped the player get up and apologised. Shawn Stoner kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Zachery Haynes, 22 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yong Knowles in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frank Salgado saved Monster Kings from getting behind. Peter Shaffer made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Wilford Leach sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 44 minutes, Yong Knowles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tarboro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yong Knowles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 46 minutes into the match, Yong Knowles notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Monster Kings's Frank Salgado. Frank Salgado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Travis Weiss hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Wilford Leach blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Peter Shaffer having to make a save. Young Jarvis hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Travis Weiss hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Zachery Haynes from long distance, 60 minutes into the match, got Frank Salgado's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Tarboro's Adam Vaughn got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Young Jarvis fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tarboro's protests and gave Young Jarvis a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Monster Kings booed when Tarboro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Young Jarvis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Peter Shaffer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilford Leach in the 69th minute of the match. With a little luck, Monster Kings's Frank Salgado got control of the ball when Adam Vaughn tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Tarboro fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when Tarboro's Yong Knowles looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Tarboro's Christian Gallegos got a free kick in the 77th minute. After 79 played minutes Monster Kings got a freekick which was hit by Shawn Stoner. A collision led to Monster Kings getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Graig Ragsdale hit a great ball. Frank Salgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yong Knowles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Adam Vaughn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Frank Salgado came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Tarboro's Adam Vaughn. But to his dismay, Adam Vaughn quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Yong Knowles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Salgado having to interfere. Tory Miranda kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. In the 97th minute Yong Knowles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Salgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Monster Kings defense, Yong Knowles kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Frank Salgado. The Monster Kings fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Frank Salgado should have stopped the shot. The Monster Kings fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Tarboro were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
