Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Art Butler got the match started through his kick off. 8 minutes into the match, Walton Hanson notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Corydon's Cliff Guzman. Cliff Guzman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Aquilino Kimetz took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Rigoberto Thurston to make any attempt to save it. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Art Butler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corydon's supporters rose to their feet, but Art Butler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rigoberto Thurston breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jefferson Myrick was extremely unlucky when he, in the 29th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 33 minutes into the game, Nelson Gagne cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Cliff Guzman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Corydon's Eldon Story quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Joey Herbert, made in the 42nd minute of the game. The supporters of Corydon booed when Covington ZSC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeramy Paige didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Art Butler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Covington ZSC were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Art Butler scored 2-3 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rigoberto Thurston, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 60th play minute Filiberto Teague came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Cliff Guzman. 2-4. Rigoberto Thurston took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aquilino Kimetz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th minute, Walton Hanson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Corydon's defense didn't have a chance, in the 72nd minute, when Nelson Gagne scored to the left of an out of position Cliff Guzman, making the score, 2-5. The audience thought a goal was coming when Houston Barajas got free with Cliff Guzman in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dwight Payton during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Corydon's Dwight Payton got a free kick in the 84th minute. Joey Herbert shot from long distance in the 86th minute, but Cliff Guzman was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. In the 90th minute, Nelson Gagne got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 92nd match minute, Corydon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eldon Story to maneuver through the defense. The Corydon supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Covington ZSC's performance. The match ended with a win for Covington ZSC.
