Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Aaron Zapatas short, quick shot in the 5thth minute got Russ Penn to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Russ Penn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jim Brownell in the 6th minute of the match. In the 7th minute, Giovanni Cornelius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Glen Dawson's late challenge caught a Atletico Madrid's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Glen Dawson helped the player get up and apologised. After 12 played minutes Raleigh got a freekick which was hit by Glen Dawson. Jason Beyer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kraig Lozano, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. The Raleigh fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Raleigh's Aaron Zapata looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Raleigh's Jason Beyer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jed Spaulding in the 21st minute of play. Russ Penn came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Raleigh's Aaron Zapata. But to his dismay, Aaron Zapata quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 27th minute of the match Curt Dozier shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jason Beyer showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Kraig Lozano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Raleigh getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Jim Brownell hit a great ball. Jason Beyer came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Atletico Madrid's Rudy Daniels. But to his dismay, Rudy Daniels quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 46 minutes into the match, Kraig Lozano notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Raleigh's Jason Beyer. Jason Beyer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jim Brownell made a kick off. Curt Dozier tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Russ Penn. An unnecessary self made goal, 3-2 in the 51st minute. Aaron Zapata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Russ Penn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Atletico Madrid's Kraig Lozano in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Raleigh's goalie prevented a goal. 66 minutes into the match, Raleigh's goalkeeper Jason Beyer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jed Spaulding. If Jed Spaulding had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 82 minutes into the match, Atletico Madrid's goal looked a bit too open when Jim Brownell came free, but Russ Penn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kraig Lozano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jason Beyer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Raleigh's Jason Beyer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Raleigh from getting a goal against them. Kraig Lozano's late challenge caught a Raleigh's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kraig Lozano helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Atletico Madrid's Kraig Lozano got a free kick in the 91st minute. Jed Spaulding fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jason Beyer having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Raleigh fans cheered their team off the field, for while Atletico Madrid had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
