Richard Gomez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alfredo Sharp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denis Bolden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 10 minutes into the match, Woodcliff Lake FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alexis Brock came free, but Alfredo Sharp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Knights SC booed when Woodcliff Lake FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Derek Compton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Clayton MacKenzie kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After 16 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. Alfredo Sharp didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alexis Brock went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Alexis Brock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Denis Bolden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alexis Brock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Sharp having to interfere. After the first half Knights SC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gerald Sargent to strike the kick off in the second half. In a very dangerous position, a player in Woodcliff Lake FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 57th minute. Penalty! The supporters of Woodcliff Lake FC booed when Knights SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benny Coles didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th match minute, Woodcliff Lake FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgil Benjamin to maneuver through the defense. If Denis Bolden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfredo Sharp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexis Brock in the 76th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Woodcliff Lake FC's Benny McDaniel got a free kick in the 79th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerald Sargent in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raul McPherson saved Knights SC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Knights SC's Benny Coles got a free kick in the 86th minute. If Alexis Brock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexis Brock in the 91st minute of play forced Woodcliff Lake FC's goalkeeper Alfredo Sharp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Denis Bolden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alexis Brock blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfredo Sharp having to make a save.
