Ottumwa's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 9 minutes, Richie Chappelle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ottumwa and the Woodcliff Lake FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 9th match minute, Ottumwa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richie Chappelle to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute Rex Singh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Sharp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Weldon Guevara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Woodcliff Lake FC's zone, Weldon Guevara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredo Sharp came out of the goal and Weldon Guevara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Weldon Guevara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute, Ottumwa's Richie Chappelle dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The audience was convinced that Rex Singh's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alfredo Sharp was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Virgil Benjamin hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Rex Singh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Sharp having to interfere. Alfredo Sharp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richie Chappelle in the 34th minute of the match. After having played for 39 minutes, Gerald Sargent managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Woodcliff Lake FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerald Sargent was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alfredo Sharp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rex Singh in the 44th minute of the match. Weldon Guevara in the 47thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Alfredo Sharp, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Gerald Sargent made the kick off in the second half. If Richie Chappelle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rex Singh succeeded in the game's 53rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. Rex Singh scored 3-0 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alfredo Sharp, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alfredo Sharp didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rex Singh went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. 68 minutes into the game, Ottumwa's Rex Singh nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfredo Sharp made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. In the 72nd minute Weldon Guevara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Sharp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rex Singh might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfredo Sharp. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rex Singh ran back to his position shaking his head. Rex Singh's late challenge caught a Woodcliff Lake FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rex Singh helped the player get up and apologised. Rex Singh hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Gerald Sargent kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marlin Sykes. That made the score 5-1 in the 78 minute of play. Richard Gomez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Woodcliff Lake FC's Gerald Sargent got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alfredo Sharp stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Weldon Guevara's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. In the 89th minute, Weldon Guevara left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ottumwa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. Rex Singh scored 7-1 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alfredo Sharp, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ottumwa had played much better football throughout.
