Old Town's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Glenside AFC the free kick. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Young Gonzalez couldn't finish the play. Louis Youngblood stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Caleb Stapleton's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Domenic Trotter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Art Abraham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Davis McNamara kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After having played for 20 minutes, Davis McNamara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Old Town's supporters crossed their fingers, but Davis McNamara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 22nd minute, Glenside AFC's Art Abraham ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Domenic Trotter. Domenic Trotter yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Caleb Stapleton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Louis Youngblood having to interfere. If Caleb Stapleton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Louis Youngblood showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caleb Stapleton in the 41st minute of the match. Art Abraham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domenic Trotter having to interfere. Caleb Stapleton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Young Gonzalez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Caleb Stapleton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Caleb Stapleton got free with Louis Youngblood in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Caleb Stapleton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Louis Youngblood was out of position in the 64 minute of play, and Young Gonzalez capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Young Gonzalez really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. After having played for 68 minutes, Sonny Townsend managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Glenside AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sonny Townsend was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Glenside AFC booed when Old Town was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrick Abbott didn't get a good kick on the ball. Caleb Stapleton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Louis Youngblood read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Young Gonzalez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Louis Youngblood was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Domenic Trotter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Art Abraham, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After a rather tough play, Glenside AFC's Brock Nickerson got a free kick in the 85th minute. Alonso Clement, 86 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Caleb Stapleton got free with Louis Youngblood in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Merlin Ponce could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Louis Youngblood made a huge save. 91 minutes in the game, Young Gonzalez fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Louis Youngblood having to interfere. After having played for 94 minutes, Young Gonzalez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Old Town's supporters crossed their fingers, but Young Gonzalez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Caleb Stapleton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Louis Youngblood having to interfere.
