Alfred Russo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Trinidad Daugherty made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lincoln Root in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jason Dolan in the 23rd minute of play forced Somerset's goalkeeper Alfred Russo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfred Russo came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by South Bend AFC's Pierre Arden. But to his dismay, Pierre Arden quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 33rd match minute, Somerset was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Stafford to maneuver through the defense. 37 minutes into the match, Foster Nieves notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Somerset's Alfred Russo. Alfred Russo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Donny Lincoln fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Somerset's protests and gave Donny Lincoln a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st match minute, Somerset was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donny Lincoln to maneuver through the defense. Alfred Russo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pierre Arden in the 43rd minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The supporters of South Bend AFC booed when Somerset was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Stafford didn't get a good kick on the ball. When South Bend AFC's Jamal Sparks in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In a very dangerous position, a player in Somerset fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 70th minute. Penalty! Alfred Russo went to the wrong direction when Foster Nieves was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Alfred Russo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Foster Nieves in the 74th minute of the match. With a little luck, Somerset's Alfred Russo got control of the ball when Jason Dolan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Somerset's Alfred Russo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Somerset from getting a goal against them. Alfred Russo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jason Dolan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-7 in the 86 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Foster Nieves in the 90th minute of play forced Somerset's goalkeeper Alfred Russo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Somerset's goalkeeper Alfred Russo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pierre Arden. In the 92nd minute, Foster Nieves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Casper Epps took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Trinidad Daugherty. Trinidad Daugherty dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-7. South Bend AFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
