Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Foster Light kicked off to start the match. 4 minutes into the match, Henry Overton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Winford Chandler. Jim Thorpe United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Henry Overton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 7 minutes into the game, Foster Light cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Winford Chandler was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Trent Moyer kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Trent Moyer's late challenge caught a Reynoldsburg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Trent Moyer helped the player get up and apologised. In the 19th match minute, Jim Thorpe United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trent Moyer to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henry Overton in the 21st minute of play forced Jim Thorpe United's goalkeeper Winford Chandler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Foster Light had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Milton Huber managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when Jim Thorpe United's Jeffrey Myers fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 34th minute, Emerson Hutchins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 35 played minutes, Jim Thorpe United's Michael Fairchild shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Milton Huber came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Jim Thorpe United reached it. With a little luck, Reynoldsburg's Milton Huber got control of the ball when Jeffrey Myers tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adrian Dickson to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Foster Light shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Winford Chandler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jim Thorpe United's Adrian Dickson got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Foster Light recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Foster Light who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Winford Chandler when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Jim Thorpe United's zone, Foster Light stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Winford Chandler came out of the goal and Foster Light tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emerson Hutchins in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Winford Chandler saved Jim Thorpe United from getting behind. Winford Chandler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Foster Light in the 80th minute of play. Henry Overton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Winford Chandler having to interfere. If Foster Light had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Reynoldsburg's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
