Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Brent Chu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Adolfo Paul tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Otsego City's Adolfo Paul played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brent Chu in the 7th minute of play. In the 10th minute of the match Sid Norris sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adolfo Paul skillfully saved the ball. When Josh McCain came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Charlton FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Josh McCain couldn't finish the play. When Charlton FC's Glen Akins in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Otsego City's goalie prevented a goal. In the 17thth minute of the game Sanford Springer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Otsego City's Adolfo Paul was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Glen Akins came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Charlton FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Glen Akins couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Josh McCain managed to get in a good position for a shot. Charlton FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Josh McCain was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adolfo Paul breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adolfo Paul stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Glen Akins's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Charlton FC's Josh McCain got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 25 minutes into the game, Josh McCain cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Adolfo Paul was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Josh McCain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Glen Akins's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adolfo Paul was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. 31 minutes into the game, Glen Akins cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Adolfo Paul was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Josh McCain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Adolfo Paul tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute Cameron Wilhelm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Paul saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brent Chu struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Adolfo Paul didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Charlton FC. Adolfo Paul showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brent Chu in the 39th minute of the match. Josh McCain recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Glen Akins made a kick off. Josh McCain might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adolfo Paul. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Josh McCain ran back to his position shaking his head. Adolfo Paul made an important save on a dangerous shot by Josh McCain in the 54th minute. When Charlton FC's Brent Chu in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Otsego City's goalie prevented a goal. Josh McCain in the 57thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Adolfo Paul, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Brent Chu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adolfo Paul read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Charlton FC's Josh McCain was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 63rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. When Brent Chu came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Charlton FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brent Chu couldn't finish the play. Sanford Springer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Adolfo Paul tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Otsego City defense, Josh McCain kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adolfo Paul. The Otsego City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adolfo Paul should have stopped the shot. Charlton FC's Josh McCain got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 80 in the game by Glen Akins from a close distance when the talented Adolfo Paul managed to make a qualified save. Otsego City's players were relieved. Adolfo Paul took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sanford Springer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute, Brent Chu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 93 minutes into the match, Charlton FC's Brent Chu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adolfo Paul narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Otsego City's Adolfo Paul got control of the ball when Glen Akins tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marlon Pickett during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 96th minute, Marlon Pickett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over Charlton FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Otsego City throughout the match.
