Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Kermit Regan started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Simon Rainey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lionel Wallace in the 5th minute of play. After 6 played minutes Flagstaff got a freekick which was hit by Elvis Jacob. Flagstaff's Simon Rainey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernie Negron in the 8th minute of play. After 9 minutes of play, Vail's Lionel Wallace made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Simon Rainey was left in no man's land by his defense there! Simon Rainey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Malcolm Rose in the 12th minute of the match. In the 13th match minute, Flagstaff was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roosevelt Hollis to maneuver through the defense. Simon Rainey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernie Negron in the 14th minute of play. In the 16th minute Felipe Plummer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simon Rainey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Malcolm Rose kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Tommy Spencer made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Kirk Miranda sent off a good shot on target. Kermit Regan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Kermit Regan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 29 minutes into the match, Ernie Negron notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Flagstaff's Simon Rainey. Simon Rainey was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felipe Plummer during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 34th match minute, Vail was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipe Plummer to maneuver through the defense. Kermit Regan was extremely unlucky when he, in the 44th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Tommy Spencer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kermit Regan in the 44th minute of play. After the first half Vail were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

If Kermit Regan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 55 minutes into the match, Vail's goal looked a bit too open when Kirk Miranda came free, but Tommy Spencer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernie Negron in the 60th minute of play forced Flagstaff's goalkeeper Simon Rainey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vail's Felipe Plummer pulled a muscle in his back after 62 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 63rd minute, Roosevelt Hollis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Enrique Camacho was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 64th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 66th minute, Roosevelt Hollis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tommy Spencer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kermit Regan's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. A collision led to Flagstaff getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Dane Moser hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Flagstaff defense, Lionel Wallace kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Simon Rainey. The Flagstaff fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Simon Rainey should have stopped the shot. After having played for 88 minutes, Lionel Wallace managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vail's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lionel Wallace was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Vail fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when Vail's Lionel Wallace looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Lionel Wallace could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Simon Rainey made a huge save. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Vail eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
