In the 4th minute, Bogota FC's Raphael MacDowell seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Raphael MacDowell the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Bogota FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Raphael MacDowell had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 3 minutes into the game, one of Bogota FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 10th match minute, Bogota FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Del Jefferson to maneuver through the defense. Zane Dickens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cameron Deleon in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Wayne Mitchell ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zane Dickens was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Carl Thorne made in the 21st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Cameron Deleon however managed to control. After a rather tough play, Houston FC's Fabian Koenig got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 27th match minute, Houston FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jack Gorman to maneuver through the defense. Freddie McNamara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Adam Darling made a huge save. Bogota FC's Adam Darling played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicky Neal in the 31st minute of play. In the 33rdth minute of the game Nicky Neal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bogota FC's Adam Darling was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kenny Dennison hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Freddie McNamara got free with Adam Darling in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Freddie McNamara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Adam Darling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wayne Mitchell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Houston FC defense, Cameron Deleon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zane Dickens. The Houston FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zane Dickens should have stopped the shot. In the 47th minute, Wayne Mitchell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wayne Mitchell was the one to do the kick off. Wayne Mitchell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Zane Dickens made a huge save. Cameron Deleon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Zane Dickens made a huge save. Laurence Cardoso took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adam Darling. Adam Darling dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. 87 minutes into the match, Freddie McNamara had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adam Darling. Bogota FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Freddie McNamara was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. Bogota FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Houston FC had controlled the match.
