Jonathan Mayer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute Sung Walker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tanner Burkett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sung Walker succeeded in the game's 26th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. In the 30th minute, Art Littlejohn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bob Floyd hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 36th match minute, Juventus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sherman Epps to maneuver through the defense. Tanner Burkett came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by AFC Richmond's Ernesto Cardona. But to his dismay, Ernesto Cardona quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. When Sung Walker fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AFC Richmond's protests and gave Sung Walker a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, AFC Richmond's Sung Walker got a free kick in the 41st minute. Jonathan Mayer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Peter Reilly read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. The Juventus players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. AFC Richmond were winning 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sung Walker was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to AFC Richmond getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Cole Gallardo hit a great ball. When Greg Dietz came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Juventus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Greg Dietz couldn't finish the play. Greg Dietz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter Reilly having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brendan Stoner during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of AFC Richmond booed when Juventus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brendan Stoner didn't get a good kick on the ball. AFC Richmond's Ernesto Cardona got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Sung Walker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Leon Garland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute Jonathan Mayer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Reilly saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 78 minutes into the match, Greg Dietz notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of AFC Richmond's Peter Reilly. Peter Reilly was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Greg Dietz took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Peter Reilly. Peter Reilly dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Leon Garland's late challenge caught a Juventus's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 91st minute Jonathan Mayer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Reilly saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute, Ernesto Cardona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. AFC Richmond's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
