Wolf Lake's Marlin Barker proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Wolf Lake from getting a goal against them. Sergio Engel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marlin Barker having to interfere. 27 minutes into the game, Benny Britton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sergio Engel to strike the kick off in the second half. Matt Meredith sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 74 minutes into the match, Sergio Engel notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Wolf Lake's Marlin Barker. Marlin Barker was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Wolf Lake's Matt Meredith managed to work through Baileys Crossroads AFC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Matt Meredith dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Marlin Barker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergio Engel in the 84th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Benny Britton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wolf Lake's supporters rose to their feet, but Benny Britton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Quintin Matlock breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Sergio Engel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The Baileys Crossroads AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Wolf Lake had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
