The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes Alvin AFC got a freekick which was hit by Logan Rosado. Sergio Engel struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Mike Key didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Baileys Crossroads AFC. If Glen Lentz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Philip Wolff kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Alvin AFC's Philip Wolff got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 19th minute of the match Enrique Courtney shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mike Key showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 20th minute, Glen Lentz fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Quintin Matlock, passed just outside the right post. If Travis Hawley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejandro Kerr in the 34th minute of play forced Alvin AFC's goalkeeper Mike Key to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute, Travis Hawley ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Quintin Matlock was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 46th minute, Travis Hawley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Quintin Matlock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Glen Lentz in the 48th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Glen Lentz to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Glen Lentz in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Quintin Matlock prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alvin AFC's Mike Key proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Alvin AFC from getting a goal against them. Travis Hawley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Glen Lentz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Quintin Matlock having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Alejandro Kerr managed to get in a good position for a shot. Baileys Crossroads AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alejandro Kerr was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mike Key breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sergio Engel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mike Key read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Mike Key made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergio Engel in the 75th minute of play. In the 75th match minute, Alvin AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Philip Wolff to maneuver through the defense. Baileys Crossroads AFC's Alejandro Kerr got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristopher Boyles hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sergio Engel in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mike Key prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cristopher Boyles's late challenge caught a Baileys Crossroads AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristopher Boyles helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Baileys Crossroads AFC booed when Alvin AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristopher Boyles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alejandro Kerr's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mike Key read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Glen Lentz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
