A hard shot by Damon Snow from long distance, 11 minutes into the match, got Eli Kirkland's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Texas West's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bella Vista AFC the free kick. When Mohammed Squires came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Bella Vista AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mohammed Squires couldn't finish the play. Sid Sprague struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Darell Ernst didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Texas West. 36 minutes into the match, Bella Vista AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Sid Sprague came free, but Darell Ernst reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had been going on for 48 minutes, Bella Vista AFC's Jed Bouchard got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Eli Kirkland. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marquis Spencer to strike the kick off in the second half. If Marcos Blount had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 57 minutes of play, Bella Vista AFC's Korey Peralta made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eli Kirkland was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marquis Spencer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darell Ernst having to interfere. In the 65th minute Roosevelt Delarosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darell Ernst saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcos Blount kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Roosevelt Delarosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Korey Peralta came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Bella Vista AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Korey Peralta couldn't finish the play. Mohammed Squires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Eli Kirkland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Korey Peralta made a precise shot to the right of Eli Kirkland. Texas West's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. In the 81st play minute Marquis Spencer came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Darell Ernst. 3-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diego Cannon during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Diego Cannon kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mohammed Squires in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eli Kirkland prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Marquis Spencer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bella Vista AFC's Darell Ernst proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 98th minute of the match, managed to save Bella Vista AFC from getting a goal against them. Texas West's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Bella Vista AFC had won, even though Texas West had held more of the ball.
