Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Keenan Barth made the kick off which started today's match. Bailey Wooten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 17th minute, Victor Dolan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 21 played minutes Carbondale FC got a freekick which was hit by Shaun Arredondo. Wim Dagelet was a little too slow when Bailey Wooten got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 22nd minute. The score was now 1-0. Wim Dagelet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bailey Wooten, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. If Shaun Arredondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute, Charles City's Bailey Wooten dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Shaun Arredondo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rusty Hadley kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Richie Keys showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richie Yeager in the 38th minute of the match. When Carbondale FC's Keenan Barth in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Charles City's goalie prevented a goal. In the 42nd minute, Keenan Barth left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Carbondale FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bailey Wooten was the one to do the kick off. After 55 minutes, Rusty Hadley mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Charles City and the Carbondale FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Charles City's defense didn't have a chance, in the 61st minute, when Keenan Barth scored to the left of an out of position Richie Keys, making the score, 2-2. In the 68th minute Harry Benton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wim Dagelet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Charles City booed when Carbondale FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richie Yeager didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Carbondale FC defense, Bailey Wooten kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wim Dagelet. The Carbondale FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wim Dagelet should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Charles City's Blake Burger got a free kick in the 74th minute. Wim Dagelet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bailey Wooten in the 79th minute of the match. Anson Haas hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Richie Keys was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Kenneth Joyner. In the 83rd minute, Dylan Hetfield hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Shaun Arredondo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Charles City's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
