With a little luck, Berwick AFC's Boyd Ludwig got control of the ball when Wendell Farley tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Paxtonia AFC's Joey McKinney got a free kick in the 12th minute. Boyd Ludwig made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Wendell Farley sent off a good shot on target. If Dante Gill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Art Pulliam couldn't finish the play. In the 32nd match minute, Paxtonia AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tyrese Bragg to maneuver through the defense. Kerry Uhl got in the 36th minute a good position and tried a long shot which to a great surprise passed a very astonished Boyd Ludwig. This was a shot which ended in a score of 1-1. Berwick AFC's Boyd Ludwig proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Berwick AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 44th match minute, Berwick AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Art Pulliam to maneuver through the defense. Wendell Farley who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 45thth minute tested the skills of Boyd Ludwig when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 48 minutes into the match, Berwick AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Tyrese Bragg came free, but Boyd Ludwig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Tyrese Bragg in the 61st minute of play forced Berwick AFC's goalkeeper Boyd Ludwig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Berwick AFC's Eliseo Forrest got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 63rd minute Tyrese Bragg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boyd Ludwig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Junior Patrick charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Junior Patrick the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Junior Patrick hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 68th match minute, Berwick AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johnathon Haskins to maneuver through the defense. Boyd Ludwig showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tyrese Bragg in the 69th minute of the match. Wendell Farley's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Boyd Ludwig read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. The supporters of Paxtonia AFC booed when Berwick AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Junior Patrick didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute, Paxtonia AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Art Pulliam fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Berwick AFC's Boyd Ludwig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tyrese Bragg in the 87th minute of play. After 95 minutes of play, Paxtonia AFC's Wendell Farley made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Boyd Ludwig was left in no man's land by his defense there!
