Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Randell Rivera kicked off to start the match. In the 5th minute, Novatoo's Thomas Solis seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Thomas Solis the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Novatoo protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Thomas Solis had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 4 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Novatoo! In the 11th minute Tomas Beltre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicholas Wolff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nigel Whalen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlo Stanford having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gustavo Dennis during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 17th minute, Gustavo Dennis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Devin Oliver received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Carlo Stanford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcellus Cordero kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Carlo Stanford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Devin Oliver, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. With a little luck, Hobart's Carlo Stanford got control of the ball when James Starnes tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 31 played minutes Novatoo got a freekick which was hit by James Starnes. 42 minutes into the game, Marcellus Cordero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hobart's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Novatoo the free kick. Marcellus Cordero hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Nigel Whalen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Novatoo's supporters rose to their feet, but Nigel Whalen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlo Stanford breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Hobart's Carlo Stanford got control of the ball when Nigel Whalen tried to sneak it across the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guy Dickey to make the kick off. 0-2 became the score in the 53rd minute when Guy Dickey elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 56 minutes into the match, Novatoo's goal looked a bit too open when Marcellus Cordero came free, but Nicholas Wolff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Devin Oliver's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlo Stanford read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Carlo Stanford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from James Starnes in the 62nd minute of play. If Nigel Whalen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Nigel Whalen came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Novatoo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nigel Whalen couldn't finish the play. Carlo Stanford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from James Starnes in the 68th minute of play. Quincy Phipps hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Nicholas Wolff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcellus Cordero in the 70th minute of the match. Devin Oliver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. James Starnes struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Carlo Stanford didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Novatoo. The supporters of Novatoo booed when Hobart was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcellus Cordero didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ross Burch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nigel Whalen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Carlo Stanford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
