The long shot by Lucien Morin in the 16th minute really tested William Houston's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Ferrocarril's defense didn't have a chance, in the 21st minute, when Otto Cagle scored to the left of an out of position William Houston, making the score, 2-0. Pierre Haley spun around in front of the goal 26 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Anson AFC's goal. William Houston showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Otto Cagle, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Pierre Haley's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thad Avery read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. After 35 played minutes, Ferrocarril's Bryan Bradshaw shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Thad Avery came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ferrocarril reached it. Ferrocarril's William Houston played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otto Cagle in the 42nd minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Otto Cagle in the 55th minute of play forced Ferrocarril's goalkeeper William Houston to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ferrocarril's zone, Otto Cagle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. William Houston came out of the goal and Otto Cagle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Pierre Haley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Jerome Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucien Morin kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. 77 minutes into the game, Anson AFC's Austin Dickens nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. William Houston made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. When Pierre Haley came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Ferrocarril fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pierre Haley couldn't finish the play. After 95 minutes, Tod Lloyd mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ferrocarril and the Anson AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ferrocarril fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 95th minute. Penalty! In the 97th minute there was a penalty for Anson AFC. Aurelio McNair stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving William Houston. 5-0. Ferrocarril's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Anson AFC had won, even though Ferrocarril had held more of the ball.
